RIFE, Leroy - Age 69, of Fenton, died April 15,2017. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday; and 2-8 PM Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Leroy was born December 25,1947 in Hurley, VA, the son of Edmond and Lillian (Allen) Rife. He was raised by his beloved mother and step-father, Grover Blackburn. He married Charlotte Matney on December 9,1967 in Hurley, VA. Leroy was an Entrepreneur who built and owned several Car Wash Businesses. He was the owner of Rife Trucking, and the Operation Manager of Ace Asphalt Company. Leroy was also employed at the GM Proving Grounds in Milford. He enjoyed hot rods, classic cars, and drag racing; but most of all family. Leroy was an award winning weight lifter.
He is survived by: his beloved wife of 49 years, Charlotte; 3 children, Ryan Rife, Brad (Samantha) Rife, and Robyn Tibbitts; 3 grandchildren, Zakk, Nick, and Jessica; his mother, Lillian Blackburn; brother Danny (Mary) Blackburn.
Leroy was preceded in death by his father; and his step father, Grover Blackburn.
