Baker, Deborah L. of Flushing, age 61, died Saturday, April 29, 2017, at her home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Trinity Baptist Church, 4222 N. Elms Road, Flushing. Pastor Seth Ferguson will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
Deborah was born in Flint, Michigan on November 11, 1955, the daughter of Gordon and Helen (Hopkins) Suter. She married Jeffrey Baker on August 2, 1975. Deborah worked for Mt. Morris Community Schools as a paraprofessional for 20 years where she helped children with autism. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church for 35 years. Deborah enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jeffrey; son, Timothy Baker; daughter, Amanda Baker, all of Flushing; sister, Rebecca Suter; special aunts and cousins; and dear friends, Barb, Linda, Lisa, Mitzi, and Tammy. Deborah was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank the Outpatient IV Therapy Clinic at McLaren for going above and beyond with care and compassion. |
