TINGLEY, Darryl W. – age 65 of Burton, MI passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 2PM-8PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 12PM at Reigle Funeral Home – Sunset Chapel – 5501 W. Pierson Rd. Flushing, MI with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Chaplain Hank Messing officiating. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. Darryl was born in Alpena, MI on November 26, 1951 to the late Frank and Alice (Cooke) Tingley. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Darryl was married to Sandra Dye. He worked for General Motors for over 39 years before his retirement in 2015. He also belonged to UAW 599. Darryl loved football, especially the Detroit Lions. Camping, fishing, bonfires, blues concerts, and having a cold Bud Light while listening to classic rock were some of his favorite things. The grandchildren and great-grandbabies were his all-time favorite though. He loved spending time with them. All in all, he was an avid outdoorsman. He had a silly and fun-loving personality and was very passionate about everything he did. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Tingley; children, Rita (Eric Beller) Noel, Steven (Becky) Noel, and Desiree McAllister; grandchildren, Justin (Alesia), Lindsey, Malachi, Calee, Addisyn, Brooklyn, Christopher, and Jada; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Serenity, and Annabella; brothers, Ken (Nancy) Tingley, Phillip Tingley, and Richard Tingley; niece, Tina Randall; and nephew, Al Tingley. Darryl was preceded in death by his parents. Those desiring may make contributions to Toys for Tots in Darryl’s memory.
