FREEMAN, Margaret B. – Of Flint, age 94, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Caretel Inns of Linden.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013 at
Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 West Court Street, Flint,
Reverend Elizabeth Macaulay and Reverend Thomas Macaulay co-officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Freeman will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service.
Margaret was born in Sullivan County, Indiana on September 25, 1918,
the daughter of Robert and Sarah (Snedden) Macaulay, and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life.
She married John W. Freeman on August 30, 1947. She was a very active member of Oak Park United Methodist Church.
Margaret was Office Manager and Bookkeeper for Koegel’s Meat for 9 years in the early forties.
Surviving are four children, Karen and husband William Cape,
Richard and wife Terri,
Debra and husband Paul Clancy,
Jay and wife Laura;
12 grandchildren, Rick, Diane, Randy, Wendy, Scott, Kristin, Brian, Jason, Nicholas, Laura, Paul III and David;
5 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Ryan, Macy and Alexander;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on October 3, 2003; parents; three brothers, Melvin, Jim and Tom Macaulay and sister, Jeanette Wolfe.
