SINKLER, Donald James - Age 78, of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Donald's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Burial 10:00 AM Tuesday March 18, 2025 at Great Lake National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 PM and Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Donald was born September 21, 1946 in Flint, the son of Theodore and Thelma (Lovelady) Sinkler. He was a graduate of Flint Northwestern High School. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He married Pamela Jean Smith September 17, 1966 in Flint. Donald had resided in Swartz Creek since 1985 coming from Flint. He owned and operated Don's Insulation in Swartz Creek. He served on the Gaines Township Zoning Board. He enjoyed woodworking, metal working and antique cars.
Surviving are: his wife of 58 years, Pamela; daughter's, Shana Charles (Mark Masters) of Swartz Creek and Nola Gibson (Brian) of Swartz Creek; grandson, Tiyler (Jordyn), Grant (Kaleb), Beau (Ashley) and Luke; sisters, Connie Novak (Dennis) of Swartz Creek and Joyce Earegood of Durand; special sisters-in-law, Kathryn Stone, Jill Hawk (Dennis) and Barb Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
