HAWK, Beatrice VanWormer- Age 91, of Montrose, died Monday, June 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. Beatrice was born September 13, 1922 in Flint, the daughter of William and Daisy (Frost) Stryker. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1940. She worked at Genesee Bank for 24 years, retiring in 1986. Beatrice was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek and was a Catholic Councilwoman. Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Vicki VanWormer; son, Randy VanWormer; grandchildren, Jennifer Vargo, Stephanie and Garret VanWormer; six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Wilma Chalmers and Shirley Cranick. The family extends a special thank you to Heartland Hospice.
