Wanda Jean Christopher, age 80, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. She was born on October 21, 1936 to parents Hoyte and Ethel (Taylor) Moshier. Wanda enjoyed playing bingo and watching western and black and white movies. She was a loving mother and a great caretaker to her husband of 49 years, Doyne, until his passing in 2003. Wanda is survived by her children: Mona (Bob, deceased) Gilbert, Brenda (Bill) Plummer, Kay (Jerry) Rupp; grandchildren: Becky (Bill) Salnave, Albert Gilbert, Danielle (Karri) Wilson, Brandy (Danny) Fisher, Shannon (Dave) Yeo; 17 great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; half siblings: Joanne Benedict and Jim Freeland. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Doyne Christopher; and half-sister, Janet Garrett. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc with Pastor Glenn Teal officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 1-8pm at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, beginning at 10am. Interment to follow at Flint Memorial Park. The family gives special thanks to the staff at Whispering Pines Adult Foster Care Home for their continuous care and loving support. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Whispering Pines Adult Foster Care Home in Wanda’s name. |
