FARELLA, Mary Jane – of Clio, age 79, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at Maple Woods Manor. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Friday, July 29, 2011 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church, Clio, Rev. Fr. Gerald J. Ploof officiating. Burial will be at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 1-4 & 6-8 PM where a parish Vigil service will be held at 7 PM. She will lie instate at the church on Friday from 9 AM until time of mass. Contributions may be made to Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Mary was born January 31, 1932 in Flint to the late Joseph and Anna (Isaac) Warda and was a resident of Clio since 1972. She married Michael Farella on February 11, 1956. She was a member of Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed cooking and playing bingo. Surviving are: husband, Michael; 2 daughters, Julie (Leonard) Alexander, Gina Farella, both of Clio; 3 grandchildren, Trevor Farella, Taylor Farella and Jason Alexander; daughter in law, Joanna Shurell of Midland; brother, William (Hannah) Warda of Flint; sister in law, Sally Warda of OH; nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Francis Anthony Farella in 1997, Joseph P. Farella in 1968; sisters, Shallum Warda Sweeney and Rose David; and a brother, Isaac Warda.
