WILLIAMS, Melita “Dolly” – Of Flint, age 88, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2013.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2013 at
Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2051 West Maple Avenue, Flint,
Reverend Paul Boerger officiating.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Williams will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lamb of God Lutheran Church.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Melita was born on February 8, 1925 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Ralph and Clarcy (Meyer) Meier.
On July 24, 1948 she married Elton (Bud) Williams.
Melita was a lifelong member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she served on the Altar Guild Society, LWML and various other groups.
She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.
Surviving are loving husband, Elton (Bud); Williams of 64 years;
daughter, Janis and husband Laurel Weatherford of Mundy Township;
two sons, Jay and wife Theresa Williams of Clare,
Thomas and wife Karen Williams of Linden;
four grandchildren, Pamela and husband Chad Borg of Grand Blanc,
Angela and husband Chad Moyer of Ypsilanti,
Jeremy and wife Angela Williams of Rives Junction,
Matthew and wife Cheryl Williams of Holt, Michigan;
brother, Fred and wife Marilyn Meier;
sister-in-law, Billie Meier
11 great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Austin, Adam, Melissa, Sarah, Jay Williams, Brendan and MaKenzie Borg, Nathan, Noah and Brooklyn Moyer;
many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Clarcy Meier and brother, LaVerne Meier.
