BRAYAN, Carl S. – Of Grand Blanc, age 89, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Burton, Reverend Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
A Parastas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Brayan will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
Carl was born on May 15, 1931 in Flint, Michigan.
On August 9, 1951 he married the love of his life, Vera Lee and they enjoyed 65 years together; loving each other and raising their family. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2016.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Jill Sebert and son, Gregory S. Brayan (Jennifer Stump);
three grandchildren, Michael W. Cleary, Angela M. Cleary and Madeline M. Brayan;
also beloved niece, Vivian Korth.
When asked to describe Carl you will likely hear “he was a great man.” He wore many hats in his life from restauranteur to a supervisor at Buick; but his greatest job…the one he loved the most was being a good husband and father, and he excelled at it. He now dances on the clouds with his beloved VB.
Forever loved, forever missed a part of our hearts always.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Peter Brayan and Boris Brayan and sister, Anna Popff.
