James L. Goodrich age 38 of Durand, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Durand on Monday, September 12, 2016. Pastor Dave Heeg will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 3-6 PM on Sunday at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel.
James was born October 25, 1977 in Flint, MI a son of James and Lela (Luchenbill) Goodrich. His hobbies included fishing, cooking, music, riding his motorcycle, spending time with his "Madre" and "Padre" and the rest of his family. He loved his life long soul mate, Anna, his dog, Nena and he loved Jesus. James never met a stranger. He could talk to anyone and make everybody feel like a friend. James first job was a pizza delivery guy for Little Caesar's. He was so proud of that job. Recently he was a foreman for Hemi, a company out of IL. He was a tradesman, a boiler maker, and an iron worker.
Surviving James are his parents, Jim and Lela Goodrich; brothers, Jeremy (Jessica) Goodrich, Nick (Heather) Simmons, Jesse (Ashley) Goodrich, Clayton (Kasey) Mayall and Calvin Mayall; grandparents, Preston and Anna Goodrich; fiancé, Anna Miller; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. James is preceded in death by his grandparents, Brooks and Josephine Luchenbill; and uncles, LaVerne Luchenbill and Yogi Mayall.
