MANSFIELD, Robert Dewayne - of Beaverton formerly of Clio, age 82 died September 5, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, September 9, 2017 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home, Clio Chapel. Pastor John White officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 AM until time of service at 4 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to Billings Township Fire Department or to the family for future designation.

Robert was born January 3, 1935 in Roscommon County to the late Simeon and Bertha (Hall) Mansfield. He graduated from Gladwin High School with the class of 1953. On April 30, 1955 he married Joyce Yost. He resided in the Gladwin area for the past 26 years and prior to that in the Clio area for 35 years. Prior to his retirement in 1991 he worked for GM/AC Spark Plug for 38 ½ years. He was a member of the UAW Local 651, Eagles FOE 3655 in Albright Shores, MI. Robert was one of the founding member of the CM Ambulance and made the 1st run with Jim Helms. He was also a Clio Reserve Police Officer. Robert was an avid hunter and never missed an opening day hunt since age 11 even with several health issues. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Tigers. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren and dog Wixom. All his neighbors called him Handyman Bob and he was always will to help people. Robert lived his life well, loved his family deeply and left this world quickly. His wisdom and strength will live on in his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are: Wife of 62 years Joyce; Children: Robert (Jennifer) Mansfield, Catherine (John) Schiebel, Christine (Joe Bosse) Mansfield Funsch, Cheryl (David) Hengesbach; Grandchildren: Joseph (Jennifer) Funsch, Gina, Kylee, Chloe Funsch, Ryan Mansfield, Nicholas (Kristen) Stilson, Janelle Stilson, Bianca (Brandon) Squires, Christopher (Shannon) Schiebel, Joshua (Cassie) Schiebel, Nicole Hengesbach; Great Grandchildren: Ethan, Clay, Jase, Clare, Tess Stilson, Amari, Beckett Squires, Ellie, Kiara, Taylor, Alyssa, Dylan Schiebel, Eastynn Vliet, Jaclyn Funsch; Sister: Vera Small.
