Age 91, passed away Friday May 29, 2012 at Brian’s House in Davison. According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will be at 11am Tuesday June 12, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison: Rev. Fr. Andrew A Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will be from 10 am until time of Mass on Tuesday at the church.
Marie was born in Bay City MI on September 13, 1920, daughter of the late Emory Hartley and Margaret Mason. She graduated from Northern High School in 1938. She worked for Gerholz Realty for most of her working life. Marie married Earnest (Pete) J. Sampier until his death in 1946. Marie then married Frank (Mac) E. McDougall in 1950. Frank and Marie raised one daughter, Peggy. After 50 years of marriage, Frank passed away April 28, 2000. They enjoyed many years of traveling up north to the lake, parties, square dancing, playing cards and they loved their grandchildren and were their biggest fans. Later in life, Marie enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Davison Senior Center.
Marie loved and enjoyed her family and is survived by daughter Peggy Hall, grandchildren, Melanie (Butch) Leix, Marty (Marie) Hall, Michele (Mike) Spinney, and Matthew (Sally) Hall, Larry Miller; 9 great- grandchildren; 5 great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by parents; siblings, Clarence, Ginger, and Lee; all her in-laws; lifelong friend, Ethel Lisek; and much beloved son-in-law, Kenneth Hall.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Davison Senior Center.
