ROEBUCK, Doug. “Dune Buggy Dougie” – of Birch Run, age 64, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Covenant Health Care – Harrison of Saginaw. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Doug’s Life for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 4PM until 9PM at the Birch Run VFW Post - 11325 Dixie Highway in Birch Run. Memorial contributions may be made to the family, in care of his mother, Faye Roebuck.
Doug was born April 8, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to Floyd W. and Faye (Golden) Roebuck. He worked for the family business, Roebuck’s Leaky Basement Repair for many years. Doug was a follower of the Christian Faith. He was a member of the Mid-Michigan Trail Runners (Aka Green’s Dragstrip) in Henderson, where he would race and volunteer. Doug was a pillar of the community and loved helping the veterans and disabled. He enjoyed dune buggy racing, hunting, fishing, and watching NASCAR. Above all, Doug loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Daughters: Deanna (Gabriel) Amaro, Jr., and Michele (Joshua) Rolston; Sons: Jason (Jennifer) Roebuck, and Floyd C. (Elizabeth) Roebuck; Mother, Faye Roebuck; Grandchildren: Devin, Olivia, Antonio, Christopher, Brandie, Michael, Zach, Peter Mac, and one on the way; 1 great grandson on the way, Parker; Brothers: Gary (Anna) Roebuck, and Randy (Debbie) Roebuck; Sisters: Carol (Dave) Smith, and Christine (Leo) Miller; Aunt, Elsie Golden; Companion, Kellie Schultz; Several nieces, and nephews; Many other loving family members and special friends.
