CASTLES, Mary A. – Of Flint, age 96, has gone to her eternal home to be with her dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will also rejoin her two beloved husbands, Lester C. White and Harvey A. Castles.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Fenton Road Baptist Church, G-4386 Fenton Road, Flint, Dr. Michael Stallard officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Castles will be at the church from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service.
Mary was born in Scattercreek, Arkansas on March 4, 1918 the daughter of the late Walter and Lilly (Cole) Livesay.
On December 22, 1935 she married Lester C. White and he preceded her in death on October 8, 1971. She then married Harvey Castles on October 20, 1990 and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2010.
She was an active member of Fenton Road Baptist Church.
She enjoyed reading, gardening and family gatherings.
Mrs. Castles worked at Fisher Body for 28 years.
Surviving are sons, Lester Marlin (Marge) White and
Gary (Phila) White;
grandchildren, Steve (Kris) White,
Dan (Dawn) White, Brian (Spring) White,
Karen (Dave) Conroy, Chris White and
Fayne (Deb) Hodgman;
numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;
step-children, Carl (Carol) Castles,
Patricia Downing and
Dennis (Jeanne) Castles.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elsie and Ruth; brother, David and step-daughter, Joyce Milan.
