Caroline was born in Flint, MI on December 26, 1938, daughter of the late Ernest and Mildred (Musgrave) Pocza. She was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1956. On November 22, 1957, Caroline married the love of her life, Michael Francis Grumley, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Caroline was a pillar of her community, dedicating 25 years of her life as the Head Cook at Elba Elementary School. Her culinary skills were renowned, with her macaroni and cheese, cinnamon rolls, and family-favorite potato salad becoming legendary among students, staff and family alike. In addition to her culinary talents, Caroline was deeply involved in various organizations, including serving as the Worthy Matron of the Nourmahal Chapter #282 Order of the Eastern Star, and as a member of the Ladies White Shrine. She was also the longest-standing parishioner of St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, where she dedicated many decades of service on the Altar Guild, leaving an indelible mark on the congregation. Outside of her community engagements, Caroline found joy in simple pleasures, such as camping trips with her family, where she could often be found sitting by the campfire, sharing stories, and playing Five Crowns. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Caroline had a soft spot for the soap opera "General Hospital" and could often be found eagerly following the latest developments in Port Charles. Caroline leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
