SMITH, Lydia S. – Of Flushing, age 85, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Genesys Convalescent Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road,
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to American Heart Association or American Stroke Research.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Lydia was born in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Alexander and Stella Skowerski. She married Donald E. Smith in 1955 and he preceded her in death in 2004.
Mrs. Smith worked as a Physical Therapist for over 44 years.
Surviving are three children, Bradley and wife Cherie, Shelly Swayze, David and wife Andrea;
seven grandchildren, Jacline, Michael B., Allisa, Taryn, Talia, Sophia and Michael D.;
two sisters, Polka and Myrna.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Peanna.
