Collins, Dr. Donald Arthur “Doc”, of Flushing, age 82, passed peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at his home. A celebration of his life will be planned at a later date.
Born on a bright, sunny morning on April 17, 1938, the son of Arthur and Nina Belle (Morse) Collins. The day was Easter Sunday. Don loved and enjoyed his family, friends, learning, music, singing, sailing, reading, Michigan football and was a devoted, dedicated teacher. “Doc” to his students and those who knew him well. He married Caryle Elgan, in Flushing, Michigan on December 31, 2002. He would want to say thank you to the McLaren Hospice team for their excellent and tender care.
Don is survived by his wife, Caryle; his son, Michael and wife Carol Collins and their sons, Liam and Quinn; his daughter, Kelly and husband Paul Hilcoff and their children, Benjamin and Teagan; his brother, Gordon and wife Rosemary and their three children and families. |
