Wilson, Gary G. – of Flushing, age 70, died Thursday, September 8, 2016, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Joe Zelley officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 AM until the time of service at 4 PM.
Gary was born September 17, 1945, in McMinniville, Tennessee to the late Charlie and Edna (Brady) Wilson. He had resided in Flushing the past 25 years coming from Grand Blanc. He graduated from Central High School in Flint in 1965. Gary was a U.S. Army veteran. He married Barbara Cole on January 6, 1968. He was retired from Leaseway Transportation and was a member of Teamster Locals 332 and 614. Gary was an avid golfer and was a member of the 10 Point Club. He enjoyed casinos, canoe trips, and he loved dogs. He was also an avid sports fan of the University of Michigan, Detroit Tigers, and the Detroit Lions. Gary especially loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Barbara; 3 children: Matt (Vanita) Wilson of Flushing, Michelle Wilson-Beckwith of Grand Blanc, and Denise (Brad) Sepell of Swartz Creek; 2 grandsons: Jacob and Austin Wilson; Brother, Robert Wilson of Davison; Gary was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny.
