TACKEBURY, Georgia K. - of Montrose, age 77, died Friday, August 1, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 10AM Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Tim Hobson officiating. Burial to follow in Montrose Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5-7PM and on Tuesday from 9AM until time of services at 10AM.
Georgia was born January 1, 1937 in Montrose to the late Lloyd and Geraldine (Hicks) Dubey and lived in Montrose her entire life. She married Adrian Tackebury on December 17, 1956 in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2012. She was a 1955 graduate of Montrose High School. She enjoyed reading, gardening, decorating and staying incontact on facebook.
Surviving are: children, Tamara Clarkson of Davison, Tracy (Daniel) McAfee of Montrose, Timothy Tackebury of Montrose, Joshua Tackebury of Montrose; 3 grandchildren, Shane McAfee, Joey and Emily Tackebury; sisters, Leona Ann Rose of Montrose, Viola Lewis of CA, Renee Murphy of Montrose; many nieces, nephews; and several in-laws. She was also preceded in death by: a son, Brian Tackebury; sisters, Alice Kuruda and Jacquelyn LamMay; and a son in law, Phillip Clarkson,.
