Steve Lengyel, age 70 passed away on June 4, 2019 in Linden, Michigan. Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 1pm – 3pm with Memorial service at 3pm at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Inurnment to take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at a later date. Steve was born on January 7, 1949 to the late George and Mary Lengyel in Flint, Michigan. Steve loved to be outside especially fishing, he would have fished every day if he could. He enjoyed camping, traveling up north to quiet countryside. He was a NASCAR and drag racing fan and he loved to play scratch off lottery tickets and slot machines at the casino. He respected his Hungarian ancestry, he enjoyed the cuisine and the culture. Steve proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Steve was a friend to everyone, he had the best laugh, and was very easy to talk to. He will be deeply missed. Steve is survived by his siblings: Andrew Lengyel, Rose (Lengyel) Loucks, Margaret (Lengyel) Ingram; many nephews and nieces; and close friends Dennis and Vicki Jarvi and family. Family would like to send a special thank you to Steve’s neighbors for their care and love. Family would also like to send a special thank you to Paragon Manufacturing he loved working there and felt like family. |
