AMOSS, Ronald E., of Burton, age 70 died on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at Grand Blanc Rehabilitation.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Thom VerWys officiating.
Visitation will be 6pm –8pm Saturday July 5, 2014 2pm –7pm Sunday, July 6, 2014 and 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ron was born April 30, 1944 in Flint, the son of Carl and Evelyn Amoss. Ron graduated from Flint Southwestern High School in 1962. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving as a 1st Lieutenant during the Vietnam War. He retired from Delphi Region 1-C UAW Local 651 with 30 years of service in 2002. In addition to spending time with his loving family, Ron enjoyed participating in numerous community groups. He was a past member of Davison Masonic Lodge #236, Past member of Genesee Valley Commandery #15, Past member of Elf Khurafeh Temple Shrine, and Past President of the Davison High Twelve Club. He also loved mentoring young men serving as a Dad Advisor to the Davison Chapter Order of DeMolay. Surviving are father, Carl Amoss; Daughter, Kristie Marsh, and grandsons, Jeffrey Burzyck, Jonathon Burzyck, and Jason Marsh; Son Chad Amoss and wife Amy Amoss; grandchildren, Nathan, Cora and Madilynn Amoss; Sister Karla Amoss-Smith husband Archie Smith, Niece Rachel Canaday and Nephew Aaron Canaday. Ron was greeted in heaven by his mother Evelyn Amoss. The family is very grateful for the care that was given to him from Clarkston Specialty Hospital, Grand Blanc Rehab, and Gentiva Hospice. In lieu of flowers those planning on an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
