QUINTANILLA, Richard – Of Flint, age 82, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2316 West Coldwater Road, Flint, Father Cecilio Reyna officiating with Father Eduardo Lorenzo and Father Tim Nelson con-celebrating. Visitation 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of the Mass at the church. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Burial to follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Richard was born on March 30, 1929. Richard was a founding member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. He was known for his beautiful singing voice, friendly personality and his strong faith in God and love for his family. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe choir, Holy Name Society, Caballeros de San Juan, Cursillista. Mr. Quintanilla retired from Hurley Hospital in 1991. He leaves behind to treasure his memory his beloved wife, Jacinta, of 62 years and his eight remaining children, Anita (Anastasio) Favila of Arlington, TX, David (Susan) of Flint, Sylvia Tinnin of Lennon, Ruben of Flushing, Delia (Ronnie) Hock of Lake Jackson, TX, Daniel of Fort Wayne, IN, Reynaldo (Diana) of Fairview, TN and Rebeca (Brian) Holifield of Deer Park, TX; 36 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Richard was preceded in death by his eldest son, Richard Jr. and son-in-law, Chuck Tinnin. Special thank you to Avalon Hospice and Christina Perez for all their care and support.
