PAYNE, Kenneth – Of Flint, age 80, died Saturday, July 7, 2018.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Wednesday
until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born in Flint, Michigan on January 8, 1938, the son of
Robert and Reva Payne.
On April 4, 1964, he married Virginia McKenna and she preceded him in death in June, 2016.
Kenneth spent four years in the Coast Guard.
He loved deer hunting, fishing, working on cars. He would always offer to help fix things for others.
Surviving are son, Mike Payne;
daughter, Sandra Speckmann;
3 granddaughters, Michaela, Makenzi and Marissa;
brothers, Gordon and Raymond and sister, Janice.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; sisters, Doris and Ruth Ann.
