PEARCE, Richard C. “Rick” – Of Grand Blanc, age 64, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at his residence. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of one’s choice. Mr. Pearce was an advocate for Gift of Life, for which his family followed per his wishes. Visitation 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Pearce was born in Flint, Michigan on October 6, 1947. On May 28, 1996 he married Maria Giacalone in Toledo, Ohio. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking and also enjoyed spending time in Florida.
Surviving are wife, Maria; children, Dawn and husband Jeff McIlory, Richelle and husband John Szegda, all of Mesick, Michigan, Brandi and husband Jerry Behrenwald of Lakeview, Robert and Brandon Szegda, Benjamin and Cecelia Behrenwald, Aaliyah McIlroy, Ronald and wife Terry Pearce of Arlington, Texas and their son, Robert;
sisters-in–law, Lee Giacalone and Kim Petrella; brothers-in-law, Joe, Tony, Phillip and Chris Giacalone; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special neighbor, Paul Blondin.
