ROSE, Shirley M. – Of Swartz Creek, age 93, died Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at her residence.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Rose was born in Flint, Michigan on September 15, 1926,
the daughter of the late Cecil and Ella Mae Brown.
She loved gardening, outdoors, cooking, Lawrence Welk and anything that could be shared with her husband and family.
She especially enjoyed quality time with her two great-granddaughters the last few years.
Her biggest gift was exemplifying what a wife, mother, grandmother, GiGi and friend should look like.
Surviving are children, Gary S. Rose,
Wallace E. (Brenda) Rose;
grandchildren, Natalie K. Rose (Jon Irvin),
Michael C. Davis (Lauren Svensson) and
Kyle H. (Emily) Davis;
great-granddaughters, Winifred Irvin and Everlie Davis;
several nieces and nephews;
special friends, Bill and Linda Hendrick and Lillian Avesian.
A special thank you to McLaren Hospice for their care and to Pastor Rick Schmidt from Cornerstone Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glendon; siblings, Iona Brown, Russell Brown, Cecil (Jr.) Brown, Leroy Brown, Betty (Brown) Collins and Marybelle Brown.
