MARTIN, Gerald B. – Of Grand Blanc, age 79, died Monday, September 28, 2015 at his residence.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Gary Koenigsknecht officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice, Outreach or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Gerald was born in Flint, Michigan on July 14, 1936, son of John and Eileen Martin and was a lifelong resident of Grand Blanc.
On June 16, 1956 he married Nancy Kaye Antior.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Mr. Martin was employed in the Maintenance Department at General Motors before retiring.
Surviving are daughters, Dawn Martin and James Hawkins of TN,
Christine and husband Larry Sordyl of Fenton,
Kathy and husband Al Stone of Swartz Creek,
Tammie and husband Terry Visnaw of Grand Blanc;
grandchildren, Drew and Heather Stone,
Abbey and Haley Tigner,
Nick and Holly Stone and
Zach Visnaw;
great-grandchildren, Tina and Robert Aube, Robby and Paul Vliet and Dylan T. Stone;
sisters, Pam and husband Jon Carlson of Marquette, MI,
Patti Gallagher of Freeport, FL,
Phyllis and husband Jim Braidwood of Onaway, MI and
Marge Martin of National City, MI;

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; parents, Jack and Eileen Martin; brothers, Jack and Bob Martin.
