COEN, William “Bruce” – of Davison, age 81, passed away January 5, 2013 at Bentley Manor. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Robert Coen officiating. Burial will follow in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday and 1-2 PM Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Bruce was born in Boone, MI on February 21, 1931, son of the late Arnold and Marian (McNitt) Coen. He married Joanne Jones on July 28, 1951 and she preceded him in death on July 15, 2003. Bruce enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He retired from Buick.
Bruce is survived by his children, Robert (Connie) Coen, Denise (Robert) Gardner, Dorene Hottois-Coen and Dawn (Greg) Merritt; grandchildren, Brooke, Katie (Bill), Lindsey (Neil), Ron, Tina (Jason), Shelly, Kevin, Carissa and Katrina; great-grandchildren, Bianca, Stone, Kaylee, Kamara, Jaxon; brothers, Richard, (Linda) and Walt (Bev); sister-in-law, Grace. He was preceded in death by his brother, James.
