Beverly Jane Cameron, age 71 of Durand, passed away at her home on Wednesday January 2, 2019. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The Rev. Fr. Bill Lugger will officiate with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Gaines. The family will receive friends at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Durand Chapel on Friday 12 noon until 9:00 PM.
Beverly was born in Gladwin, MI on June 21, 1947, the daughter of Edwin & Gladys (Eagleson) Heffner. She graduated from Gladwin High School in the class of 1965 and after graduation married Thomas Anthony Cameron on September 25, 1965 in Gladwin. She was affiliated with St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed canning, gambling, making candy, gardening and loved being with her grandchildren. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. Beverly was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children; Brent (Holly) Cameron of Durand, Angie (Larry) Patsey of Lansing, Chad Cameron of Durand, 11 grandchildren; Jordan (Jordin) Patsey, Madalyn Patsey, Isabel Patsey, Corinn Patsey, Alex Cameron, Eric Cameron, Fawn Cameron, Cassy Cameron, Lyndsay Cameron, Darrin Cameron, Jr., Jessica Cameron, great grandchildren; Asher Patsey, Aubrey Cameron, Vera (Cameron) Palko and one on the way, 2 sisters; Karen (Tommy) Miller of Kawkawlin, Lois Howell of Midland, 2 brothers; Dennis (Mickie) Heffner of Scottsville, and Duane (Betty Lou) Heffner of Mancelona, daughter-in-law Kelli Brant. Beverly was predeceased by her husband, Thomas on June 13, 2017, her son Darrin on August 18, 1995, brothers Ron & Ken Heffner, sister Judy Caine and her parents.
