VERBECK, William Robert “Bob” – of Burton, age 84, passed away April 19, 2013 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Audrey Charlton officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and 12-1 p.m. Wednesday. Burial, with Military Honors, will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Spiritual Episcopal Church of Mt. Morris.
Bob was born in Flint on August 19, 1928, son of the late William and Olive (Morton) Verbeck. He married Marie V. Busha on October 16, 1948 in Flint. Marie preceded him in death on January 5, 1997. Bob was a member of Spiritual Episcopal Church of Mt. Morris where he was a past President and served as the National Treasurer. He was a member of the Flint Lawn Bowling Club and an avid bowler and golfer. Bob was a Machinist with General Motors, retiring with 36 years of service.
Bob is survived by his children, William Verbeck, Anna Bolinger and Daniel (Deanna) Verbeck; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest L. Verbeck. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Albright and sister-in-law, Rena Verbeck.
