BRANTON, Brenda – Of Flint, age 71, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Hurley Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 1pm Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Mark E. Pretznow officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Visitation 11am Wednesday until time of the service at the funeral home and then after the service until 6pm Wednesday.
Brenda was born in Flint, Michigan on March 29, 1953, the daughter of the late Elgie and Willie Mae Hammonds. On December 20, 1969, she married Jimmie Ray Branton Sr. and he preceded her in death on November 13, 2009. Brenda enjoyed going to casinos and socializing at Trapper Joes, VFW Halls and singing Karaoke. She also loved shopping at thrift stores.
Surviving are son, Jimmie Jr. (Vicki);
Grandson, Jimmie Branton, III;
Sister, Carol (Jim) Osborn;
And many cousins, nieces, and nephews;
Special friends, Sara, Janet, Joe and Tyler.
Special thank you to Tommy for her last good memory.
She was preceded in death by son, Michael, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters.
