Ruby was an active member of the former Lincoln Park United Methodist Church for 60 plus years; singing in the choir, in women’s circles, making pasties, as a board member, and was employed as the church secretary for many years. It was an important part of her life.
She enjoyed singing throughout her life, right up almost to the end. In her youth she sang with a band at a CCC camp in Sault Saint Marie, MI.
She was accomplished at sewing, crocheting, bowling, and enjoyed traveling with Bill and being with her family. She was also a girlscout leader.
Mom and Dad watched over their children carefully, maintained a comfortable home on Vermilya Avenue for over 50 years. They instilled in us strong morals, faith in God, a strong work ethic, and loved us. We will miss you mom, may you rest in peace.
