RENDER, Mabel Laura - Age 70, of Fenton, died Saturday, April 30, 2016. Services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, May 5, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, 503 S. Leroy St. Fenton. Pastor Robbie Carnes officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Fenton.
Mabel was born January 5, 1946 in Howell the daughter of Lyndol and Florence (Townley) Rogers. She was a graduate of Hartland High School and Ferris State College. she retired from the University of Michigan as a secretary and had also worked for Kresge Hearing. Mabel had resided in Fenton most of her life. She was a very active member of First Presbyterian Church of Fenton. She also was a member of Tyrone Township Historical Society and Hartland High School Alumni. Mabel enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Surviving are: step children, Vickie and husband Elvis Straehly, Pattie and husband Scott Arnold , and Brian and wife Sylvia Render; several step grandchildren; brother, Charles and wife Maryellen Rogers; sister-in-law, Norma Rogers; niece, Marcia and husband Harold Beer; nephew, Phillip and wife Nancy Rogers; and 2 great nieces and 2 great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Dennis Holland and Ivan Render; and brothers, Bernard and Harold Rogers.
