HALLECK, Howard A. – of Flint, MI, age 92, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church, 7306 East Atherton Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Shawn Kook officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors 2-8 PM Friday, May 19, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 9-10 AM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Family Fun Fair at Faith Baptist Church in Davison, in Howard’s memory.
Howard was born in Flushing, MI on October 11, 1924, son of the late Michael and Florence (Morgan) Halleck. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1942-1950. Howard married Joyce Sitch on April 21, 1951. He retired from AC Spark Plug on March 8, 1993 after 42 years of service. Howard was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Davison. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting roses.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joyce; 5 children, Debbie (Paul) Ballard, Randall (Debbi) Halleck, Kathy (Byron) Smith, Robert (Patricia) Halleck and Brian (Julie) Halleck; 29 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Norman Halleck; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter, Vicky Fox; 2 brothers, Lewis and Orill Halleck; 2 sisters, Laura Arrand and Esther Halleck.
