Mr. Jeff C. “J.C.” McKenzie was born April 5,1941 in Walls, Mississippi the son of the late Jeff and Ida Mae Branch McKenzie, Sr. He attended Flint Northern High School and was employed by Columbia Construction in Baltimore, Maryland for over 30yrs.
Dad enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed working with his hands and fixing or improving things. He has always been a person of service and he loved helping people. He leaves to cherish his memory: 2 daughters, Marcia Stevenson-McKenzie and Yolanda McKenzie both of Flint, Mi. mother of his sons and close dear friend Brenda Jarrett of Flint, Mi., 4 sons, Lee (Lauren) Jarrett and Tony Jarrett of Atlanta, Ga., Calvin (Ferne) Griffis of Montrose, Mi., and John Fields of Flint, Mi.
Grandsons, Jamar, Jontea McKenzie, Marquinnis (Mone) Griffis, Granddaughter Kahtia (Johnnie) Reaves, great grandson, Xavier (Lee) Jarrett, brothers, Willie (Patricia) McKenzie and Kevin McKenzie all of Flint, Mi. nieces Renee (Randy) Fields-Robinson, Sherry Plumley, Pamela (Van)Pollard, nephew, Marty(Pamela) Wooley.
A host of great nieces and nephews, aunts Bessie Farmer and Evelyn Patterson, uncles J.T. (Barbara) Branch of Indianapolis, Ind., and dear companion Debra Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jean McKenzie, parents, brother, Jeff McKenzie, sisters, Ella Mae Fields and Dorothy Hyde-McKenzie, grandparents, Jim and Maggie Branch.
