BECKER, Leon Frank "Bud" - Age 90, of Fenton, died Monday, February 17, 2014. Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 21, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Fenton, 503 S. Leroy St, Fenton. Pastor Larry McMellen officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Fenton.
Bud was born January 23, 1924 in Tyrone Township, the son of Voyle and Effie (Buell) Becker. He was a 1941 graduate of Fenton High School and also attended GMI. He married Aulene R. Cox August 7, 1943 in Fenton. He retired in 1978 from GM V-8 Engine after 23 years of service. Bud had resided in Fenton his entire life. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and also was a little league coach.
Surviving are: his wife of 72 years, Aulene; 3 children, Ralph and wife, Ellen Becker of Brighton, Lana Becker of Canton, and Brian and wife, Joan Becker of Fenton; granddaughter, Tina Becker of Lexington, KY; grandson, Corey Becker of Fenton; daughter-in-law, Roxanna Becker of Blanchard; 3 sisters, Barbara Lyons of Fenton, Lois Steiner of Fenton, and Joyce Bidwell of Petosky; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Richard Becker; sisters, Marjorie McClatchey, Jean Haas, Leona Bright, Theda McWain, Velma Becker, Eva Combs; brothers, Earl and Mark Becker.
