Talley, Mrs. Jean age-78 passed away Monday June 11,2018 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11am June 19,2018 from the Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church 2101 Lippincott Blvd., Eld. J.W. Callahan officiating, Rev. Sharinese Jackson Host Pastor. Interment River Rest Cemetery G-4413 Flushing Rd. Family and friends will assemble at the church 10am for visitation. Mrs. Talley will repose in the Chapel of the Martin J. Banks Funeral after 8am until 8pm Monday.
Mrs. Jean Talley was born April 1, 1940 in Flint, Mi the daughter of Royal (Opal Roseburr) Wingfield, Sr. She graduated from Flint Northern High School and was a former member of Macedonia M.B. Church. Mrs. Talley retired from H & D Tuxedo. She enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers ballgames, watching Serena and Venus Williams’ tennis matches and her favorite soap operas.
She leaves to cherish her memory; husband, William Talley, Jr., 2 daughters; Denise Diane Talley and Darlene Danette Talley, 2 sons Duane Kevin Talley and William Talley III all of Flint. 2 grandchildren; Derrell Tyron Talley, Myron (Amanda) Talley and Brianna Talley; great-grandchild, Ellarerign K.E. Talley. 10 nieces; Mary Edith Wingfield, Donna Witner, Yvonne Bonnie Barfield, Rita (Frederick) Carter, Debra Thornton, Gail Thornton, Melissa Thornton, Beatrice Cox, Jina Reynolds and Nita Reynolds.
5 nephews; Seber Wingfield, Jr., James Wingfield, Jr., Charles Hardman, David Cobb and Desmond Walters. 3 brothers-in-law; Butch Talley, Fred Talley and Rueben Talley.
A host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Talley was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters; Joan Thornton, Alice Hardman and Valecia Wingfield, 5 brothers; Royal Wingfield, Jr., Seber Wingfield, Jr., James “Speed” Wingfield, Charles Wingfield and Benjamin Wingfield. 2 nieces; Belinda Thornton and Doreen Parks and nephew; James Hardman. Mother-in-law; Katherine Talley and father-in-law; William Talley Sr., 2 sisters-in-law; Rosemary Talley and Ruby Talley.
