WHITMAN, Lanny - Of Mt. Morris, age 73, died Saturday, June 4, 2016
at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11:30am Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Reverend Bonnie R. Brown officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Visitation 4-8pm Monday and 11am-3pm and 5-8pm Tuesday.
Lanny was born in Flint on November 11, 1942. He was in the United States Army for 3 years and was a member of the Eagles Club and the Moose Club. Lanny retired from General Motors. He loved fishing, was an avid horseshoe player and was in the Bowling Hall of Fame. Lanny was also in 9 City Blooperball Championships.
Surviving are son, Todd Whitman and his children, Stephanie, Kayla, Travis, Tanner and Tyler;
daughter, Amanda and husband JR Slack and their children, Breanna and Wesley;
sisters Joann (Duane) Larson, Patty (Robert) Cousins, and Debra (Dale) Gentle;
and several nieces and nephews.
