JEWELL, Michael Lorne - Of Flint, age 60, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at home surrounded by family.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy, please consider the family.
Visitation 12-3pm and 5-8pm Monday and 12noon Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mike was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada on January 7, 1953, the son of the late Lorne and Nora Jewell (Madonna). Mike moved to Flint in 1955 and grew up in Flint, working at James Lumber and later Home Depot. On August 2, 1983 he married Jennifer Carter in Flint. Mike loved people, always wanting to chat or share a joke. He also enjoyed woodworking, movies, bonfires and spending time with family. He will be greatly missed in all the lives he touched.
Surviving are children, Megan Jewell, Jac Jewell and Lauren Jewell;
brother, Dan (Robin) Jewell;
sister, Frances Jewell (Carla Hammel);
grandchildren, Shantel and Kyla Glover and Isabella Jewell;
mother-in-law, Jackie Carter;
sisters-in-law, Donna (Jerry) Frase, Nancy (Art) Walters and Patricia Bundy;
many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jennifer Jewell, father-in-law, Robert Carter, and brother-in-law, Dennis Bundy.
