RICE, Kathryn Louise - Age 78, of Flint, died Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint (The family request everyone to wear something pink). Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 3-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Kathryn's final funeral expenses and the balance will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Kathryn was born October 18, 1936 in Flint the daughter of Robert and Ethel (Loberg) Walker. She married Rex Marvin Rice June 6, 1962 in Flint and he preceded her in death December 7, 1996. She had resided in Flint her entire life.
Surviving are: 4 children, Jerry and wife Kim Lynn of Holland, OH, Janet Simpson of Burton, Dawn and husband Dave Rust of Flint, Karen Rice and her partner Sharon Royce of Flint; 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; siblings, Roberta Rogers of Grand Blanc, Gloria and husband Fred Kelly of Grand Blanc, Pat and husband Ed Osborn of Central Lake, Bill and wife Darlene Walker of Sun City Center, FL, Sue and husband Steve Millwood of Burton, Tom and wife Lori Walker of Gaines, and Bonnie and husband Tom Cheney of Burton; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Marilyn. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Garry Lynn; granddaughter, Kristina Goss; brother, Bob Walker; and dear friends, Pat Vorheis and Martie Hitchins.
