McLEAN , Maureen Rose - Age 71, of Swartz Creek, died June 12, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Funeral mass will celebrated 11 AM Saturday, June 15 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Fr. Nate Sokol celebrant. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Thursday, 2-9 PM Friday with at 6 PM American Legion Auxiliary service and 7 PM Vigil service Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 10 AM until the time of the mass Saturday at church.

Maureen was born January 31, 1942 in Swartz Creek the daughter of Ralph W. Burgess Sr. and Rosalie M. (Roach) Burgess. She was a graduate of Swartz Creek High School. She married David McLean October 20, 1967 in Swartz Creek. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. She had been a cub scout leader.

Surviving are: husband of 45 years David; four children, Teresa A. Thompson of Swartz Creek, Thomas R. and wife Sue McLean of Flushing, Charles B. and wife Anita McLean of Lennon, Erin L. McLean of Richmond VA; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph and wife Helen Burgess of Flint, Bill and wife Peg Burgess of Haslett. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Mick and Patrick; and sisters, Marjorie and Mary.
