BOYD, Linda Susan (Sarka) - Of Flint, age 63, died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.
A Memorial Service will be held 3pm Saturday, June 8, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 12pm Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Per Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Linda was born in Flint on June 4, 1949, the daughter of the late Paul Sarka and Mary Dimick and was a resident of Flint all of her life. Linda married Ron Boyd on April 12, 1975. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School. Linda enjoyed Bingo, animals, playing cards, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. She retired from General Motors SPO after 32 years of service.
Surviving are daughter, Jodi (Jason) Streeter of Flint;
step-mother, Marilyn Sarka of Caseville;
brothers and sisters, Shawn (Denise) Sarka of Bad Axe, Lisa Sarka of Bad Axe, Marty (Randy) VanSteenburgh of Harrison, Debbie Zembo of Grand Blanc, Dee Furlong of Florida and John (Cindy) Kruck of Flint;
father of Jodi, Ron (Sally) Boyd of Homosassa, FL;
many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and special friends;
her special pets, Sheba, Sasha, Sebastian, Jasper, Jose, Leila and Jaxx.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
