DORNER, David B. – of Genesee Twp., age 55, passed away June 11, 2013 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 17, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Sunday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wayne State University Brain Tumor Research Fund, Attn: G.R. Barger, MD, Dept. of Neurology, 8D-UHC, 4201 St. Antoine, Detroit, MI 48201.
David was born in Lapeer, MI on June 15, 1957, son of Paul Sr. and Mary (Coe) Dorner. He married Brenda Adle on April 4, 1981. David loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He retired from GM in 2011. David worked at the Lake Orion Body Shop and finished his career in Flint. He was a member of UAW Locals 5960 and 599.
David is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Amber (Ben Mahoney); parents, Paul Sr. and Mary Dorner; brothers, Paul (Dianna), Danny (Nanette), Mathew and Nathan (Natasha); mother-in-law, Jean Adle; brother-in-law, Greg (Stephanie) Adle; sister-in-law, Melinda (Gary) Kubik; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Gordon Chenoweth, Jim Templeton and Pam. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bill Adle.
