Willowdean Myrtle Richards of Genesee Township, age 97, died Saturday September 19, 2020 at her residence. A private family service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday September 24, 2020 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 2-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Due to CDC Guidelines social distancing and small gatherings at one time will be followed. The family would like you to join them but understand during this time you may or may not and respects your decisions. Those desiring may make contributions in Willowdean’s memory to the charity of your choice.
Wilowdean was born in Ironwood Michigan on April 4, 1923 the daughter of the late William & Myrtle (Jacobson) Jobe and has resided in the Genesee Township area since 1946. She was joined in marriage to Lloyd Richards on May 11, 1942 and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2002. She was an active member at Grace United Methodist Church for many years.
She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Richards-McKellar, her granddaughters Michelle Schwartz and husband Shane, Jessica Komarowski-Andrews and husband David, and grandson David Burke. She also leaves her great grandchildren: Sarah Wheeler, Paige Wheeler, Alexis Schwartz, Dante Schwartz, Rozalyn Kamarowski-Andrews, Lylah Kamarowski-Andrews, Killian Kamarowski-Andrews, Maizie Kamarowski-Andrews, and her loving great great grandchildren Arryana Wilder, and Scarlett Wilder.
