Vorhies, Alice A. – of Clio, age 96, died Saturday, May 20, 2017, at her residence in Davison. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Emmerling officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-8 PM and on Wednesday from 12 PM until the service at 1 PM. A Eastern Star memorial will be held at 12:30PM Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Alice was born July 18, 1920, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Earl and Elizabeth (McIntyre) Davis. She married Cecil Vorhies on December 16, 1939. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1988. Alice was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Florida and was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star – Vienna Chapter #283. Her hobbies included crochet, bowling, and crafts.
Surviving are: 3 children: John (Toni) Vorhies of San Diego, CA., David (Sharon) Vorhies of Clio, and Cecile Phillips of Davison. 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
