KEELY, Lucille “Lucy” - Of Flushing, age 85, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at her residence with her family present.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, September 21, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Leader Dogs of the Blind.
Visitation 1-8pm Thursday and 11am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lucille was born in Flint on November 23, 1932, the daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Bartnick) Stawasz. On April 30, 1955, she married George L. Keely at All Saints Catholic Church in Flint and he preceded her in death in 2010. Lucy was employed at Buick, retiring in 1991. She was a member of many organizations including, Westwood Heights Lions Club, Secord Eagles in Gladwin, Willing Workers of Gladwin, and Board of Review for Bourret Township in Gladwin. Lucy loved to laugh.
Surviving are children, George (June) Keely and Sharon (Scott) Palmer;
grandchildren, Lance (Jennifer) Keely, Brock Keely, Vaughn Palmer and Chase Palmer;
great-grandchild, Carter Keely;
sisters-in-law, Michel and Alice;
and all her wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Eleanor Stawasz, Isabelle Dement, Bud Stawasz, Chet Stawasz, Fred Stawasz and Ted Stawasz.
