THOMPSON, Freddie M. – of Otisville, age 77, passed away September 3, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center – Goodrich. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 6, 2013 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery, Otisville. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Thursday and 12- 1 PM Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Freddie was born in Florence, Alabama on September 13, 1935, son of Bill and Leva (House) Thompson. He married Mary E. Grossheim on July 4, 1953. Freddie worked as a Journeyman Electrician, and was a member of IBEW Local #948 for 56 years.
Freddie is survived by his wife, Mary E. Thompson; children, Pam (Brent) Doolin, Patricia (Vincent) Boris, Freda (Keith) Morris and Douglas (Joyce) Thompson; grandchildren, Jillian and Kenneth (Corie) Boris; Kurtis and Kala Morris, Emma and Ryan Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Leva Thompson and his brother, Billy Ray Thompson.
