Robert “Bob” Cary Dryden age 70, of Lapeer, MI passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019.
He was born March 19, 1949 in Wyandotte, MI to Roscoe and Viola (Johnston). Bob was a graduate of Ferndale High School with the Class of 1967. He married Christine (CD) on July 10, 1971 in Rochester, MI. Bob retired from AT&T with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Tribesmen in Fostoria and the Lapeer Hog Chapter. Bob loved motorcycles, his rat rods, loved loud music especially the blues and sharing good times with family and friends. He was a non-conformist among non-conformists.
Bob is survived by three children, Derek (Tracy) Dryden of Columbiaville, Dawn Dryden of Lapeer and Kelli (Larry) Baker of Davison; grandchildren, Katie and Jenna Dryden, Silas, Jacob, Caeden and Elijah Baker; mother-in-law, Helen Exelby of Rochester Hills; brothers-in-law, Richard Exelby of North Branch, Gary (Sue) Exelby of Waters, MI, Randy (Christine) Exelby of Las Vegas, NV and Brian Exelby of Rochester Hills; sisters-in-law, Sharon (Ron) Morris of Auburn Hills and Cathy (Bob) Zegar of Lake Orion; and special companions, BB & Squeaky.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine (CD) in 2011; parents; and sister, Marilyn Dryden-Loudermilk.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 2-8 PM at Avram Funeral Home, 6028 Lincoln St, Mayville, MI and from 10 AM to time of service on Saturday, December 28, 2019.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Avram Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Hutchinson officiating. A private burial will take place at Stiles Cemetery in Lapeer.with Pastor Ron Hutchinson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House of Shiawassee County.
