Hope, Alexis Kathleen, of Flushing, age 77, died Friday, June 7, 2024, at Ascension Genesys. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2024, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Fr. Matthew Bonk will officiate. Entombment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Adopt-a-Pet of Fenton.
Alexis was born in Flint, Michigan on August 28, 1946, the daughter of Fredrick and Leona (McCann) Coquillard. She was devout in her Catholic faith and would attend church or watch various Masses on television every week. Alexis was meticulous about her yard and took great pride in gardening and landscaping. She was very proud of her McCann family heritage. She was married to Larry Hope for over 20 years and her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.
Alexis is survived by her daughter, Leslie Chambers; son, Scott and wife Charissa Hope; grandchildren, Kara, Delaney, Devin, Dylan; dear cousin, Greg Berent; special nieces, Sam and Victoria. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lindwood Chambers and sister, Autumn.
