Jaworski, Bethany A. (Priestley) of Flushing, age 60, died Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Burial will be at Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville, Michigan, 11 a.m. Monday. Visitation will be 12-8 p.m. Friday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until the time of the Mass. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flushing Christian Outreach Center, The Hurley Foundation or the Women’s Welcome Retreat thru St. Robert Catholic Church.
Bethany was born in Flint, Michigan on August 26, 1959, the daughter of Arthur Priestley and Katherine (Futvoye) Priestley. She married Michael D. Jaworski on October 22, 2005, at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. Beth always had a smile on her face and treated everyone she met with respect. She was a two-time breast cancer survivor who had a tremendous love for life and touched numerous lives with her positive spirit. Beth loved her church and being a member of St. Robert Parish community where she was a reader. Beth enjoyed her annual Phuckowee canoe trip in July, down the Pine River and was an obnoxious Michigan football fan. She was a former Police Officer for a total of 20 years and served three departments, Saginaw Township, Bishop International Airport and the City of Swartz Creek police departments. Beth often expressed the highlight of her career was the three years she spent as the school liaison officer with the Swartz Creek Community Schools. In 2013, Beth graduated from Nursing School, Magna Cum Laude, where she loved being a nurse and provided loving care at Hurley Medical Center in the CCU, GI Lab and CDI.
Beth was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Michael Jaworski; mother, Katherine Gibbs; father, Arthur (Carole) Priestley; four brothers, Tom (Carol) Priestley, Morgan (Carol) Priestley, Dan Priestley, Mike (Shannon) Gibson; three sisters, Sally (Ken) Braswell, Joanna Priestley, Terry Priestley; mother-in-law, Rita Jaworski; sister-in-law, Patti (Chuck) Curry; very special nieces and nephews, Jesika (Brandon), Jason (Ashley), Kati (Josh), Kayla, Melanie, Holly, Brett, Kristen, and Anna. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Genevieve Priestley, Roy and Helen Futvoye; step-father, John Gibbs; step-brother, Jeff Gibbs father-in-law, Dan Jaworski; aunt, Barbara Futvoye; and aunt and uncle, Roy and Ann Futvoye.
